It's the music industry in the US. If there's one thing the Euro music scene has on us, it's dance music. Alot of US dance music is underground. Is it a good thing or a bad thing? A bit of both. I think there's a romanticism of dance being underground, but I think there are some dance songs that should have been hits here in the US( Like Kylie's "I Believe In You" and Scissor Sister's "Comfortably Numb")

With that said, Madonna still has a chance. Just the name alone will work for her

Does anyone know what's happening at Madonnamad? The site is shut down and I can't access the forums.I know there was ALOT of drama a few days ago when someone posted a mp3 of the radio edit of "Hung Up".Robster was pissed and he was threatening to shut down the entire site.But I thought everything had been worked out?

Madonna's exclusive interview with Ryan Seacrest has just aired on z.100.com and on many other radio station worldwide. After an introduction a classic Madonna song, Music, has been played before the interview and Hung Up's "official premiere".
During the interview Madonna was asked "why a dance record?"
To which she replied: "Because I wanted to get back to why I wanted to make music in the first place because I love to dance - the ultimate expression of joy.

Madonna has also confirmed she is thinking of going on tour and discusses her new documentary. Liz Rosenberg is in the studio.
"It's me 12 years later", Madonna says of the new docu comparing it to Truth or Dare. She says there is a connection between the titles of the two documentaries. "You see me cry a lot" she added.
Is there anyway to hear this interview online somewhere? Man, you guys got me all excited about Madonna now. I never thought that would happen to me. Shame on y'all! LOL!

On Confession On A Dance Floor
I wanted to get back to why I started making music in the first place, cause I loved to dance. And to me the idea of dance and music coming together is the ultimate expression of joy.

On her condition after the accident
One rib has not connected yet, I still have one fracturee in my scapula and my collar bone has not completely joined. It won't affect my tour, if i'm not healed by then there's something seriously wrong with me. But I danced quite enthusiastically in my video last week.

On the new tour
Lots of disco balls, I haven't actually planned the show yet. I got an eye on casting the dancers here and there. I'll have a lot of costume changes.

On the new documentary
It's me 12 years later, I didn't want to call it Truth or dare part 2 so it's a referece to that title. "I'm going to tell you secret" is sort of like "dares to tell the truth". You see a lot of behind the scenes stuff on the road, the making of the tour, all the rehearsals, you see me with my children and my family and you see me cry a lot. I don't know, you see me.

On the Confession "phone line"
I don't think I can say that in front of all these men looking at me. What would I confess? The thing about confession is that you have to feel anonymity you need to be in a dark room

At the time of "Music", dance music wasn't unheard of on radio. Now it's been all but banished. Maybe it's because there are no pop stations left. Over here, dance music doesn't get a chance unless it's disco (the light stations like to have flash back weekends).
