I love to see her do collabs like this! I know a lot of people in the general public don't really feel Mary, but a lot of musicians from overseas express fondness for her vocal phrasing and her overall body of work. The cutest thing I just saw recently was a DVD interview with Lisa Stansfield saying would LOVE to record with Mary J. Blige; I had to stop and think how interesting that duet could really be...I think I'd be into hearing what they could make of it, actually!

Phrasing, my arse. She is the queen of breathing in all the wrong places; as are most R'n'B singers these days.

I never liked the song One that much until I saw Mary help U2 sing it on the Hurricaine Relief Concert. She blew Bono away! Seriously.

personally i think mary tends to over sing things when she performs in front of an audience. no matter, i'm sure seeing the bunch of them on stage together would have been way cool!

I love Mary. She overemotes as much as Bono, but at least she doesn't hide behind dorky sunglasses when she does it.

i love mary, too. her first three cds are some of my favorites. i just think she tries too hard when she sings live. so does bono. but he never sounds or looks like he's in pain. he's just too cool. cool

Bono really should donnate his earninng to save the planet, instead of sitting in a big house whining about other people not doing it.

bono drives an old beat up volvo and lives in a modest (for a rock star, that is) home. he spends his "off time" working with world leaders to solve the problems of thirld world debt and abuse. he has helped to found numerous campaigns and organizations and has lent his name and image to a zillions campaigns in order to raise awareness from everything from greenpeace to amnesty international to world debt.

what have you done? lol

Rumor is he has just been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. They keep the list of names secret for several years and I believe the awards were last Friday but it is a well deserved honor if he was nominated.

Are you telling me he doesn't have millions in the bank? In this day and age, it's refreshing to have an artist who is filthy rich pleading for other people to give money. Just like Richard Gere. In that new visa ad. What a guy.

its not like being nominated for an oscar....there are dozens and dozens of people who "select" someone as a possible candidate to receive a nobel prize.....then a committe decides who is to receive the actual award..

anyone can be submitted based on zero merritts.
