Daaayum. Thanks for this. Still listening but so far...
I don't remember him speaking so bland but definitely gets more interesting the more you listen. Hearing him beat box leaves me imagining he and MJ coming up with some amazing beats. Makes me wonder what Bad would have been with his input. Got chills with him doing Remember the Time. Funny I don’t remember him getting some of the accolades that producers today get or maybe because he’s chosen not to be as visible outside of the Guy and Blackstreet. The Show Just Got Paid I Don’t Want to Fall in Love Why You Wanna Dog Me Out is very P Also uncovers some of the mystery of MJ being on Joy. Is it really just the finger snaps? What? He definitely did; along with Babyface and Jam/Lewis, these guys were omnipotent on late 80's/early 90's pop/R'n'B records.
Teddy Riley has unfortunately shot himself in the foot big time recently; there was supposed to be a Blackstreet/Guy tour in Europe the last few weeks. Only Blackstreet turned up and Teddy attempted to compensate by doing a solo show. Except he can't sing. And my idea of fun isn't watching someone do the "running man" dance without backing music.

did anyone catch the biggest surprise Sade is doing a song with Blackstreet?
Now figure that 1. Since Sade hardly works with anyone. She must love this track. That's all I can say. And Honestly, Blackstreet? T.R.'s big draw is "GUY" and he needs to make a proper comeback album since that one obviously was devoid of anything interesting. Anyways Teddy probably could pull a Quincy and score films if he wanted to. I wanted to hear what he was thinking when he made method man's "Party and Bullshit" which was just bizarre to be a single Anyways, you can't front on the storytelling of T.R.

I forgot about the Grammys which is what I met by accolades. The Bobby Brown and R.Kelly stuff is amusing. Interesting his relationship with Guy. In NYC I'd sometimes see Aaron and sometimes Damion hanging out but never saw Teddy.
Last I heard I could have sworn Sade was working with Pharrell but this was a looong time ago. Sade is sooo due for a release. How much longer must we wait? The agony. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

HE BETTA BRING AARON & DAMION NEXT TYME ON THE EUROPEAN TOUR ! During the big announced reunion-concert , the fans were told that theez GUYz wouldn't show up . What an anti-climax of the evening , despite the great band and awesome sound-FX . 2 badd that this evening wasn't that succesfull. Because everyone looked 4ward 2 this great voyage to memorylane . I understand that the Hall's have their legal-problems , but this was informed too late to the eagerly waiting fans , which came from all over Europe to see the very few given concerts. There were already too many talking-pauses during the starting Blackstreet-concert , which took the flow out the show . A missed opportunity . But 4 any further, nuthin' but respek for Mister Yeb-Yeb .
Remember this ? [Edited 10/12/05 10:56am]

I think they couldn't get through customs for some reason. I don't think it was Teddy's fault.
but speaking of GUY, what a drop off that third album was. They need to redeem themselves one more time.

but speaking of GUY, what a drop off that third album was. They need to redeem themselves one more time. It might not have been their succesfullest joint , although i personally realy dig " Dancin' " ( including the video ) and the low-bass driven " Spend Time " with the still quality vocals of the Hall-brothers . Their highlights were during the NewJack-era . This third album was in the Urban-era ( Blackstreet ) with a totally new audience besides the early-fans . New Jack songs couldn't be expected anymore , with the possibe result that those former fans wouldn't take it for granted . [Edited 10/17/05 2:42am]
