Where r the new Guitar Gods

Growing up I knew bands and their guitar players. It's not like that any more. Yes, Eddie V.H., Eric C. and others r still around and they r still discussed after 30+/- years.

The only new ones that I know of are J. Lang, K.W. Shepard, R. Randolph and Trey A.

Who will be remembered from the previous 5 or so years?

guitar is death and I don't like it!

Peter Hook from New Order. I know he plays bass, but he plays it like a lead guitar. He seems to only just now be getting the right attention...

John5, also. While I think his albums verge on ridiculous shredding, the guy can play anything.

Henry Garza of Los Lonely Boys, Mato Nanji of Indigenous, Eric Gales (where the heck is he?), Joe Bonamassa - they're kinda under the radar, but they're out there...

A lot of those drop-d tuning guys can actually play their asses off behind closed doors. I guess shredding doesn't serve the music...

Here he is. over 30 albums deep since 1992:
There is no fronting on this cat. Anyone needs to know more or suggestions where to start I can do that. First album was produced by Bootsy Collins

Jack White--fantastic blues, and he's basically the whole band.

Dave Navarro--okay he's not new, but he's become a star in the past five.

John Mayer--I was surprised as how good he is. I hate his stuff generally, and I can't stand to watch him sing, but he's great on acoustic & electric.

Forgot about "Guitar" Garza - I saw the band about month ago and he blew me away.

Mato Nanji - I heard a couple songs and he can bend strings.

Gales - MIA.

Also, the rest of ur suggestions sound interesting and I'll do some searching.
Any links would be appreciated.

I don't consider myself God-like in any sense of the word. Maybe one day i'll be able to play as well as some of the folks in your list.
