Great album. Rolling Tones, Boston Globe, Detroit News, La Times have all given it an over all favorable review. Majority of Stevie fans who have are in no way disappointed.

OMG, just saw that he has included the Coltranesong "Giant Steps". It is a jazz masterpiece and quite difficult to improvise on. I was completely amazed and even chocked when I heard Stevie improvise on this song at Stockholm jazz festival last year.

Here we have the internet equivalent of snapping one's head around in surprise. I was on my way out of the forum and lazily looked into this thread for the first time. Ya got me looking at the songlist. Now I need to see personnel and composer credits! test

That tracklist isn't close to the one that is avaible on Itunes.
Five or six songs have been exchanged, including Giant Steps. Stockholm i mitt hjärta..

Five or six songs have been exchanged, including Giant Steps. lol...it's amazing how many different tracklists there are. When the CD is officially released in stores next week,I wouldn't be surprised if it has a different tracklist than the iTunes version [Edited 10/10/05 6:38am]

I went to Barnes And Noble, and the snippets they have make the album seem a bit too cutesy sounding. All you others say Hell Yea!!

once again I ask...can someone give us a track-by-track review/analysis? What songs are superb? What songs are filler? Describe each song.

that depends on what you compare it with I guess. It's not in line with some of Allan Holdsworth's more advanced stuff perhaps but it more difficult than ordinary Charlie Parker songs like Scrapple from the apple or Blues for Alice. At least I think it is. What do you think?

I think it is somewhat sad to see the response to this thread compared to a thread with new pics on MJ
