A MADONNA iPOD?: Rumors are spreading on the Internet that Apple and Madonna are collaborating on a special edition iPod. The reports claim the pop star has been working with Apple on a pink-colored special edition iPod nano that will come preloaded with her entire music catalog. Previously, Madonna has refused to place her music online for legal downloading, but she appeared with Steve Jobs in a video chat last month during the nano announcement event, stating that she would soon have her entire catalog available at iTunes. Insiders expect the Madonna iPod to be announced as soon as tomorrow at Apple’s next special announcement media event. (10/11p)

shit, if the nano has her WHOLE ENTIRE musical catalog already on it, then it wouldn't be no more room to download anything else...the largest ipod nano only holds 1,000 songs, and madonna has more than that doesn't she???

she wasnt the first to do this. I believe U2 did the same thing when their album came out last year. Still, it's nonetheless a great move on her part. Dont know if i'll buy it though since I already spent a shitload on my pocket DJ. Besides, I have a crapload of my Madonna songs on there already.

That's hawt! Preloaded makes a big difference. With the U2iPod you got a reduce price of ordering their entire catalog plus, b-sides, live tracks, etc in one shot and the discount was only for a window of time.

Next year 16G of flash memory modules will be released i think then they will release the 16G nano but it will be costly the cost of hard drives is alot less then flash memory.

new from today's event - Apple has announced the iPod with video capabilities. 320 x240 resolution 2.5-inch screen. MPEG4 - 2000 music videos available from iTunes Music Store. No word yet on the madonna iPod

u should buy a wifi pocket pc to see what it can do its just fantastic most ppl r not too tech savy like me.


plus why u need to buy the video content for 1.99 i have a tuner card i can record any program and if i am out i can schedule it to be recorded. All they have r some ABC shows i can pretty much record any video or hbo show
I am goin to put all the prince videos on there I have have more then 20

I can also use this pocket pc to work as gps nagivation system i just need to get a gps reviceer. it tell me when to turn and where to turn in voice comands

I guess you didn't get my post - an iPod is really an extension of the iTunes software. You just drop it in a dock and it updates itself. You just grab it and go and it just works. No memory cards to worry with, nothing to configure, nothing to set up. The simplicity is what makes it work so well. My entire music library in my pocket - already organized for me the way I want it. Listen to music on my computer when I'm working, have exactly the same music with me when I'm driving without having to spend any time thinking about it. Why would I want to fuss with which memory card has which songs, which one do I want to put new stuff on, etc, when I can just use an iPod?

All the features you mentioned are part of pocketpc too.
well you can have bigger size sd cards and fit all ur songs. I only use one card . you can get cards of upto 4g but samsung is goin to release a 16g card soon. the only advantage of ipods is they have bigger storage!!! its just as easy to use a pocketpc.
pocketpcs come preinstalled with a mediaplayer as well as word excell and alot of the software u find on ur pc.

There is no need for special setup to pay music or videos but as u know u can install any kinda program or games on ur pocket pc there r tons of programs avialable such as speech software or foreign language translation software. and the intallation is extremenly easy not rwquiring any skills at all.

I am sure if u use a pocket pc u will be amazed at what it has to offer it is atleast 10times better then an ipod.
U can be sittin in central park in nyc You can log onto npgmc.com buy a track and play it on ur pocketpc without havin to go thru ur pc. It takes mere 25sec o downlaod a 4mb file

If ipod uses flash memory then pocket pc is on an even playing field but the cost of disk drive is more cost effective. You forget u can easily upgrade the memory size of the pocketpc u cant change the nano 4gig to 16gig

The new thing with Ipod's is that they will now play videos....and guess what music videos are for sale on Itunes? They are selling "American Life". I tried to play the preview to see if it was the good verison or the suck verison. Judging from the pic, it looks like the crap verison but who knows. I'm not going to buy it without seeing it!

Since they introduced the nano just a mere five weeks ago perhaps a Madonna iPod is by Christmas time. By then they would have eliminated the nano and the shuffle for some other creation.

so will the Madonna Ipod Look like a gapped tooth tired drag queen?
