may i ask what the intent is?

i mean, the original million man march stood for atonement, right? it stood for a million men stepping up to the game, no? what exactly is this million family march standing for? what statement do they plan on making once they are there?

at first it was about men stepping up but now it also includes women. the point is to reinforce the importance of family within the black community. the statement is that people want to show is that they understand the importance of children having a mother and a father in their lives. they want to show that their are black families who do know the importance of this. the family structure in the black community is kinda jacked up and i don't want to go into why 'cause that'll take a full page of repetition.

Sassy....just go the millions more movement site. The issues within the black community didn't end with the million man march. Its necessary to revisit the original mission and set a new agenda for the family.
