good job ellie, I was gonna start one, but then realized how long it would take.
I would add the song big boy and somebody's watching me to mine though.

34 - Shout
Rejected track from 'Invincible' and better than almost everything that did make the album. This was the B-Side to 'Cry' and about a hundred billion times better - although the first time I heard it I didn't know what the fuck I was listening to. People only really appreciate this after reading the lyric several times over until it all magically becomes clear when hearing them. Then there's the end when the first verse is repeated and a mysetrous female voice is talking along with Michael... and yes, when asked by a fan he did confirm that it was Janet, as we suspected. Me too! the sexiest performance EVER!!!! DAMN! Too hot for words. What he does with that mike It´s a great live version of Dirty Diana as well. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Fantastic work Ellie and perfectly timed. I've been getting back into MJ this year after a long dry spell. This is just the fuel I needed to fill in some gaps and revisit some forgotten favorites. Have you done a similar list for Prince? I would love to read it.

Yeah, apart from Girlfriend, which actually was a single Was "Girlfriend" actually released as a single? I didn't know that. It's a cool song, but I would have chosen either "I Can't Help It" or "It's The Falling in Love" as a single. As I mentioned above,EVERY song on 'Off The Wall' could have been a single. The song "Workin Day And Night" received alot of radio airplay even though it never became a single.

Nice! I'm going to give the list a thorough read later. I was never a huge fan of MJ's reading of Ain't No Sunshine, but hey...this is your list, not mine.

100 seems like overkill, considering the number of songs he's released. but i look forward to reading anyway. "I don't need your forgiveness, cos I've been saved by Jesus, so fuck you."

This was a herculean effort on your part, and I thank you for the list.
I said "Yes!" when I saw Ain't No Sunshine in the top 10. I've been listening a lot to his J5 recordings lately and am astonished at the maturity in these soul songs. Who's Lovin' You is another stunner. The body of his work in nearly 40 years in show business is amazing. Of course, there are a few duds. The number of albums they cranked out in the early 70's is astonishing. No wonder he says he spent his childhood in the recording studio or on the road. A lot of reviewers don't like History II, but I find it very interesting. There's so much anger and pain in it. Ever notice how few love songs Michael writes or sings?
