for being so square dick cavett seemed to have the funkiest guests..from sly to nena hoggin.....people who were within the mainstream and way out in left field..

kinda sucks we dont have anyone like him around anymore....seems like he was the anti-carson....but still within the mainstream.

I think you're talking about The Mike Douglas Show with Ali and didn't those two have a dissagrence on that show. And the pics of Mr. Sttttt on Cavett's show were hilarious. They sang "Higher" on this paticular episode.
