Kanye's racists remarks

Kanye West 'White People Should Make White Music

Rap sensation KANYE WEST has hit out at white musicians who try to sound black, insisting artists should stick to what they do best.

West confesses to a diverse listening taste and is even a fan of British rocker FRANZ FERDINAND. He says, "I hate music where white people are trying to sound black. The white music I like is white.

"I like Franz Ferdinand. That's the sh*t."

Kanye should tame his comments about composing music till he produces a real song (not a chopped, doublespeed sample played over and over agin for 4 minutes).

I hate that muthafucka.

Every time he opens his mouth, i want to bash his face in.

So, people's musical creations should be consigned to specific genres or "sounds" based on their race.? Uh, OK, you bastard.

When can we just be humans in the Universe, goddamnit. Why is everything about race. Race is not my most defining characteristic.

I don't negotiate music, political views, or philosophy based on race.

I hate this bullshit.

I wonder if he would say that stuff to Adam Levine from Maroon 5, considering that he sang on one of Kanye's songs and sounded real soulful too. Kanye is something else.

i'd rather enjoy the works of an artist who is both talented and knows of what they speak when they speak it, than the works of one who lacks those abilities.

mr. west is a prime example of the latter.

well everyone has their preferences and their opinions. i know a lot of people complain that he uses samples too much, but 99% of hip hop is nothing but samples..hell the first song proclaimed to start rap/hip hop contained a sample of Chic's "Good Times" so I can't really understand where some people are coming from with their opinions of Kanye other than he's arrogant.

I'd rather him be arrogant than a goody two shoes, kissing the industry's ass. But that's just my opinion of it. biggrin

Why is this a problem?

I personally can't stand that Brit pop of the 80s that had groups like Simply Red, Culture Club and Fine Young Cannibals (ok FYC gets a.5 point, but they still sucked) aping r&b. barf

co sign, i think the biggest problem with sampling (this is also the prob. i used to have) is that alot of this younger generation thinks its all new and original and doesnt know its sampled, and then when they hear the older music they call it crap
