I downloaded it before I left for work this morning, but didn't have time to watch it.

I keep watching this performance, its damn good. It's depressing to see what has happend to soul music. This was a time when musicians ruled the day and the guitar was not frowned upon in soul music.

you'd think the soul renaissance would've caught fire by now. There are artist out there trying to bring it on this level (we all know who they are) but as long as the kids are controling what's hot, there's a slim chance that something like this will ever be a dominant force in popular music again.

So true, the kids just don't want anything with substance. It pains me. People with talent are so underappreciated in our society. We live in bizarro world.
