He needs to hang out with thesexofit or something and develop a taste for pop-crapola (sorry thesexofit, you know what I mean). Then maybe I'll nominate him for most varied musical taste. Them folks make me seriously want to dig in their crates. virtually everyone that posts in this forum fit the bill, but I'd say that you, paligap, CinisterCee, TheRealFiness, MinnieG, Supa, lilgish, sextonseven, OdysseyMiles and several others are ones I can rely on to be the most conversant of many styles of music. And I should say the same for you. And krayzie sure knows a bunch too! Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

If I were to choose just one orger with the most vast knowledge and the most wide variety of tastes, it would definately be The Audience. Andy is a four letter word.

I have to add Byron to this mix. He's sent me some bomb ass mixes. I'll never forget popping one of his mixes in my player to hear that instrumental "Frankenstein" come blasting out. Instant flooring He sent me a mix titled "I'm the Bith you hated". I love that title! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Sound Directions is the newest creation from producer and arranger Madlib (one half of Madvillain). The group began as an offshoot of Yesterdays New Quintet in 2003 as a part of Madlib's "Shades of Blue" album. "The Funky Side of Life" represents Madlib's first full length collaboration with session musicians on drums, guitar, keys, and brass. Here's two tracks off the album that will be released on Tuesday. http://www.stonesthrow.co...ehorse.mp3 http://www.stonesthrow.co...kyside.mp3 Just thought i would let y'all know. Complete opposites [Edited 10/3/05 14:00pm] hey, you might be surprised! probably not, but you might! i really don't have an ear for pop music produced in the late '80s/early '90s, it's true. i understand that it's aging into the disco of its time, and probably within the next ten years, stuff like color me badd and c+c music factory will be coming back with a vengeance as young'uns start to discover it and people who lived through it the first time will be coming back to it as some kind of nostalgia trip. everything gets recycled. but as of now, i can't go there. it all sounds way too one-dimensional to me, plus i really don't like the style of house/dance music that informed a lot of the top 40 stuff around that time. it just ain't me. not that there wasn't music released during that time that i don't like...it just didn't fall into that whole genre/formula/whatev. but there ARE exceptions. what they are, i couldn't tell ya right now...
