Pre-sales, pre-sales. It is the best way to sell records of an artist of the magnitude of Kate Bush, because as soon as it hits the download programs, the album will be sold less.

Operator #1 Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout Would not take the garbage out! She'd scour the pots and scrape the pans, Candy the yams and spice the hams, And though her daddy would scream and shout, She simply would not take the garbage out. And so it piled up to the ceilings: Coffee grounds, potato peelings, Brown bananas, rotten peas, Chunks of sour cottage cheese. It filled the can, it covered the floor, It cracked the window and blocked the door With bacon rinds and chicken bones, Drippy ends of ice cream cones, Prune pits, peach pits, orange peel, Gloppy glumps of cold oatmeal, Pizza crusts and withered greens, Soggy beans and tangerines, Crusts of black burned buttered toast, Gristly bits of beefy roasts. . . The garbage rolled on down the hall, It raised the roof, it broke the wall. . . Greasy napkins, cookie crumbs, Globs of gooey bubble gum, Cellophane from green baloney, Rubbery blubbery macaroni, Peanut butter, caked and dry, Curdled milk and crusts of pie, Moldy melons, dried-up mustard, Eggshells mixed with lemon custard, Cold french fried and rancid meat, Yellow lumps of Cream of Wheat. At last the garbage reached so high That it finally touched the sky. And all the neighbors moved away, And none of her friends would come to play. And finally Sarah Cynthia Stout said, "OK, I'll take the garbage out!" But then, of course, it was too late. . . The garbage reached across the state, From New York to the Golden Gate. And there, in the garbage she did hate, Poor Sarah met an awful fate, That I cannot now relate Because the hour is much too late. But children, remember Sarah Stout And always take the garbage out!

This just in: EMI reveals "concept" behind the songs on Kate Bush' new album "Aerial"!!!
CD1 -- 1. King Of The Mountain Kate's petname for Bertie 2. Pi Actually called "Pie", this song is about an apple pie that Bertie once made when home alone 3. Lovely Bertie The title speaks for itself, don't it? 4. Mrs. Bartolozzi A heartfelt tribute to Bertie's nanny 5. How To Be Invisible In fact, this is the name of a hide-and-seek game that Kate and Bertie often play... 6. Joani Joani was Bertie's former nanny; she was dismissed after failing to adress Bertie as "Master Bertie" 7. The Coral Room This was the name of Bertie's nursery room. -- CD 2 -- 1. Prolog This is how a child of Bertie's age tends to spell the word "Prologue" 2. Watching The Painter Bertie is quite fond of drawing and fingerpainting. 3. Sunset On their numerous holidays together, Kate and Bertie are quite prone to watch the sunset together... 4. Somewhere In Between Kate tells Bertie about the birds and the bees the way she does best... in a song... Quite sexy this one... 5. Dream Bertie once woke up after a nightmare... After he told Kate about it, she tried to immortalize this in song... 6. Aerial Kate is still secretive about this song... apparently it's a techno version of the melody of Bertie's music box, used to lull him into sleep after yet another busy day with mum. I was actually thinking about this the other day because of the thread regarding which artists you'd like to bring back from the dead. I really respect artists like Kate Bush who are willing to take a break to focus on their own lives instead of their careers. So many people become disappointed when an artist goes away or retires, and that's understandable. But I find it even more admirable when someone follows their heart, wherever it takes them. I imagine if you have success, it's harder to walk away. So my point is, I was just playin'.

That's far more important than making music. / News just in from KateBushNews.com: NOTE - WE ARE HEARING THAT THIS TRACK-LIST, WHILE SIMILAR TO THE FINALISED ONE, IS NOT FULLY COMPLETE OR CORRECT. THE OFFICIAL TRACKLISTING IS LIKELY TO BE REVEALED FIRST ON THE OFFICIAL SITE VERY SOON. (please note - I have no further info)
