Cool album. A lot of his 80´s work is a bit underrated. I like this album.

Former SLAVE-trumpetist Steve "The Brother Slide" Washington produced this booming Clinton/Vanessa Williams collaboration in 1986 . Steve plays plays the furious bass and did a backspinned bass-loop on George's "Do Fries Go With That Shake ". To me , that was a very new thing in 1986 . Anyone remembers that video too ? . It takes place in a sort of McDonalds-environment . Two laydeez are fighting to get George . I always thought that one of them was Zapp-songstress Shirley Murdock .

Two tracks from another 80's P-Funk production :

PEEK-A-GROOVE :
http://www.content.loudey...cid=600111
A very long track on which i always freak out . Especially the lead vocalist takes it to a higher level during the climax of this trip .

LONG WAY AROUND :
http://www.content.loudey...cid=600111
A very interesting slow track from the album .

Another production from Steve Washington , recently re-issued on CD for the " Capitol Funk & Soul Masters "-series . An interesting project from Jimmy Giles , who i believe is family-related with George . Interesting , because Steve Washington was about to launch another solo-project after his 1984-debut . I got info that some of the tracks , meant for Steve's album , were used on Jimmy's album .

Awyeah , BODYJACKIN' THANG cool ! ... the band from Andre Foxxe . Before this album he released a very rare 7-inch single .

Ever heard of this one ?

This track is WILD ! The horns are on fire and a nasty bass-synth is played by J.S. Theracon also known as keyboard-wizzard Walter Junie Morrison .

Yeah, I dig it more than "Computer Games". Wish Clinton would have released more albums in this vein. It was a good mix. It was edgy, too. I dig it! Good pick, pill!

'Get Dressed' had that killer Bootsy bass goin'...guitar

The 12 inch version of 'Man Best Friend' is much better than the album version..

The same with 'Loopzilla'.....biggrin

'Free Alterations' & the title track is two other favorites of mine....

The funk was still going strong back then....

June was & is hilarious . I started to collect in the 80's , so his funny albums like " Bread Alone " and " Junie 5 " were my first encounters with his sillyness , like his alter-ego.
