U got the one with "Eight Easy Steps"? So Called Chaos.

MAN I just looked on allmusic and they don't even list her early 90s records in her "Main Albums" discography. lol

I know...that says a lot!

This was the popular 1991 record with "Too Hot" on it. It's a good dance-pop album! It's even got some funky drum sample usage on there. Her music videos were all over Muchmusic and Video Hits.

My sister had this second one from `92. It was some more dance-pop but it flopped for some reason.

The cover of the second album looks like she is trying to be "edgy", with her "Four Non-Blondes" look.

I woulda found room for "So Pure" as well.

I agree. The Fomnrer Infatuation Junkie (her best) material is not represented well on this set

Exactly. Those were definitely her most interesting singles.

I don't know why she's glossing over them as if they were failures. Compared to anything from Jagged Little Pill, what wouldn't be? But compared to the rest of her career since, they got played quite a bit.

Did they? "Hands Clean" was a major hit and so was "Uninvited"....maybe that's about it but right after "Jagged", I think the honeymoon was over. I remember seeing lots of unsold copies of her second CD when it came out.

I'm not good with charts, but I remember hearing "Joining You" a ton on the radio and seeing the video for "So Pure" lots.

I don't even really like "That I Would Be Good" that much, as far as Junkie tracks go.

Well I didn't buy her later albums. I just have her Canadian shit, JLP, and Junkie, and I'm not getting rid of it.

I must be a casual Alanis fan. Every song I've ever heard by Alanis is on The Collection... and then some. In fact, my first thought was that the project is basically going to be Jagged Little Pill with "Uninvited" and "Thank You" added... boxed

what is the deal with big artists making such shit cd covers? prince's 'musicology,' tori's 'the beekeeper,' and now alanis's 'the collection.' surely they have some kind of budget to pay someone with talent rather than coming up with these things by themselves.
