Was George Clinton honored? He deserves a great big honor just for everyone sampling him!

Oh man, I doubt they would ever honor him. Besides he acts like he's ashamed of his hip hop career so he probably wouldn't want to be honored anyways.

I hate young mc. "bust a move" is awful. Old school in a really formulaic and repetitive way.

Now come on, who the hell rapped like hammer before him? No one. Give him credit. Young MC was just a plain average rapper with nothing new production wise....

Sure hammer sampled, but hammers production was different from other hiphop. It had a pop feel. Hammer knew that. Hammer was at least original compared to the hiphop at the time.

I can take a beating on hammer, but young MC over hammer no way.

Lakim was the first rapper to roll out the Nation of Islam's/5 % voice.

Dawg, Hammer was trash. Period. The ONLY people that liked Hammer were the SAME PEOPLE that liked Vanilla Ice. Case closed. Hammer's main contribution to the rap/hip-hop game = STAGE EXCESS. Not a good thing. Hammer was garbage. Period.

This year's was the second show. 'KRS One' was honored last year.

I would like to see these artists honored: Funky Four Plus One, Afrika Bambaataa & Soul Sonic Force, M.C. Hammer, Eric B. & Rakim, New York City Breakers, Ice Cube, Digital Underground.
