Best P-Funk Album???

I know we have some funkateers on here...What album was the best overall album of the P-Funk brand? Motor Booty Affair by Parliament seems to be the best overall in my opinion closely followed by "The One Giveth & the Count Taketh Away" by Bootsy.
We run tings, tings nah run we....

Schizophrenia break-down

Funkadelic: MAGGOT BRAIN
GC & PFunk All-Stars: TAPOAFOM
Bootsy: STRETCHIN' OUT IN BOOTSY'S RUBBER BAND
Horny Horns: THE FINAL BLOW
Misc One-Shots: GAMES DAMES & GUITAR THANGS - Eddie Hazel

I think I'd have to say One Nation Under A Groove, though I'm also partial to America eats its young. If they trimmed the former down slightly (not even necessarily to a single LP) it would be the best P-funk album by far.

This is a tough call, I love damn near all of them. I'll just list my favorites..

The Clones of Dr. Funkenstien
One Nation Under A Groove
Mothership Connection
Funkentelechy Vs. The Placebo Syndrome
The Motor Booty Affair
Maggot Brain

I could go on and on. I just watched the PBS documentary and though I enjoyed every minute of it, I was saddend by the fact that P-Funk only got one hour. One of the greatest and most influential bands in history and they condense their history into an hour disbelief. Just pisses me off, they deserved better than that. Parliament Funkadelic is as important as any of the legends that are jammed down our throats by the media, but they are rarely given the credit they deserve. Especially when you had so many genius musicians in one camp. I just don't think most people grasp the importance of P-Funk.

I gotta say that I favor Parliament over Funkadelic by a hair. Parliament's melodies & harmonies just pull me in. Funkadelic's edge is cool, but I gotta say that I enjoyed Parliament more than Funkadelic while growing up.

Bootsy's "Player of the Year" by far!

But I have to mention Parliament Live - P. Funk Tour. My father wore this 2 ablum set out and consequently turned me into a young P-Funk fan.....although I was forbidden to say the word "funk" in the house. Too close to "fu#k" for my fam.

If it had been about either of those two it would have been on all week. lol Bob Dylan got two parts in primetime with sychronized viewings, while Parliament gets an hour around 11p or 12a. What's up with that? Then again, that's why I fault BET's former owner for being so cheap, chasing trends and not investing in historically enriching programming. We can forget about them doing something like that now since they are under Viacom's umbrella.

There going to be something on BET about P-Funk, Reggie Hudlin is working on it.

There is also another documentary in the works that is deeper than this one.

TAPOAFOAM is probably the best modern day P-Funk lp.
