Anyone buy the new Toni Braxton CD today?

I did, and I'm pissed that there are only 10 tracks.

I heard some retail outlets have 2 bonus songs. (I bought it at J&R for $9.99).

That is such bullshit. This is why people download.

I hate those stupid f*cks at Blackground.

I brought it today along with EW&F's Illumination. Libra is a good album, by all means. It's a lean record with tight rhythms and exotic beats. With Braxton's sultry vocals, it makes the record even more interesting. Not as stunning as her 2001 album, The Heat (her best record, in my opinion) or as warm as her debut or even her 1996 blockbuster, Secrets, but Libra is pretty good.

I like it too. I got it from Best Buy and it came with an exclusive download track called Long Way Home.

I like short albums too. I'm tired of people putting 15 to 20 songs on a record becuase they can. Give me the best you got not the fillers.

I hear you on that, but what bothers me is that for the same money, I could have gone to another CD store for the 2 extra cuts. That just doesn't seem fair.

If ALL the stores had 10 Tracks on "Libra", I wouldn't feel cheated.

Shit, back in the 80's, people like Anita Baker and Steve Winwood put 8 songs on
an album!!!

I do agree that quality is more important than quantity.

Well, Damn, I just went to the Circuit City website. I see there was another track that I missed.

Now, I'm mad. I see your point. Just make 1 damn album.

Well I got a passed down copy with bonus songs I have no idea, but I think the album is nice.

i do still like More Than A Woman more...still in my opinion her best, though I havent heard The Heat or Secrets. Anyway the album is good, I need to hear it on headphones, that Rich Harrison track is on fire
Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

This is how I felt but hey...I lean a little to the left.

Please was okay but Take This Ring is hot to death. The only other song that really caught my attention after listening to it in my car a few times (and that's where I really absorb my music) was Supposed To Be. Everything else sort of just faded. I think The Heat was was a pleasant surprise. I'm glad I listened before I bought it.

One word came to mind when I previewed this album earlier this week.....

SOULLESS

This album makes her last album sound like "Here My Dear"

It would be nice if Toni could make an album that sounds like it was recorded by grown ups.

Ain't that Fire! I love Take This Ring. I know it sounds like a typical Rich Harris beat, but I still like it.

Amen. I don't get why people say they don't get their money's worth. Having a long and bad record would make w feel cheated.

One person on Amazon actually said she should have put a few more songs on the cd-- even if they not that good. That's just crazy.

I want everybody to take it down to 40 minutes, unless you have great tunes.
