David Bowie - Tonight or Never Let Me Down

In my opinion these are Bowie's weakest albums though both have some really good songs (like "Loving The Alien"... and "Time Will Crawl"...). smile

So, I'm just wondering which album you prefer and why! I can't decide myself which one is better that's why I ask you about your opinions... lol

Thanx for posting!!! smile

Definitely Tonight for me. NLMD has one very strong track (Time will Crawl), one decent track (NLMD), and alot of really hideous trash.

Tonight has a few really good ones. I always consider Blue Jean to be a glam pop/rocker in the vein of Jean Genie or Rebel Rebel, but updated. I think the version of Tonight w/ Tina Turner is nice, and I like Loving the Alien (despite some hideous lyrics.). Tonight just seems like an oddball assortment album, whereas NLMD is concentrated dreck.

My two cents smile

TONIGHT... for most of the tracks and the promotional movie-short "Jazzin for Blue Jean"... I dressed as Screamin Lord Byron that Halloween... Nobody in Montana got it.

I like about half the tracks from it quite a lot. NLMD I can't be bothered with at all.

He calls that whole phase his "wilderness period". I can see why.

It's like choosing between Michael Bolton and Celine Dion.

I think i like Tonight just a little bit better, NLMD sounds too eighties.
