When Ice-T was at the top of his game from "Rhyme Pays" to "O.G." or maybe even "Home Invasion," there were few hip-hop lyricists better. And I love me some Snoop, but he's not the lyricist that Ice-T was. His flow was a hell of a lot more unique, though, I will say. It's a jungle out there.

As far as flow is concerned, Snoop has it all over Ice. But as far as pure lyricism is concerned, Ice's work is much more impressive and substantive than Snoop's. I'd also throw Iceberg and Power in there as well, Jackal. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Ice-T was never that good of a rapper. I think his personality and subject matter, which really wasn't touched on on a large scale in the mid-late 80's (pimping, drug dealing, gangs, etc) intrigued alot of people.
Has Ice-T had a greatest hits collection released?

Big daddy Kane is my favorite Rapper of all time. I had been waiting for those hip honors for three weeks and he didn't dissapoint. I was hoping that Biz Markie would come down so they could do "Rhymin' with the Biz." That's Kane's best song ever by the way.

From Kool Herc to Jam Master Jay to Terminator X, Kid Capri, Jazzy Jeff, and the incomparable DJ Premier, a great DJ is essential element in hip-hop. Sadly, the golden age of the pure dj is disappearing fast into the underground hip-hop and dance scene. I have to admit that I didn't like the scratching either because it interrupts the flow of the song. One second you're groovin' and then you have to stop because the dj wants to scratch...I don't get it. At least with a loop (although, I'd prefer it not be a rip off of someone else's music) theres no interruptions. ----- Lord, Lord, Lord,

"From the dome" implies FREESTYLING (another hip-hop expression). I go back to the Kool Herc days, so I'm not havin' it. LOL.

Yes, Snoop's flow is one of the most extremely unique flows in all of hip-hop, but he's not famous for his lyrics. Snoop has never done anything as insightful as "I Must Stand" or "The Tower." People don't like him because his flow is so smooth, they like because of the production that he brings to the table. Ice-T was around in the early stages of hip-hop when people were still perfecting the flow. If you came out today rapping like Run DMC, you'd get laughed at. Rapping has progressed. That doesn't mean that Run DMC sucks now, just because they can't spit out words as fast as Busta Rhymes. It's a jungle out there.
