X factor is slightly different as any age can apply. Plus the 3 judges all compete with eachother as each gets assigned a group if u will:-

Solo 16-24 (age)
solo 24- above
groups (all ages)

Each judge manages their group for live finals (group consists of 50 people or whatever). Its no better really. Last years x factor winner is gone now. Its stupid.

It's a baby boy for "American Idol" runner-up Bo Bice and his wife, People magazine reported Monday. Aiden Bice was born Saturday. Other details weren't immediately available.

Bice, 29, and his wife, Caroline Fisher, have been together two years and were married in Alabama in June.

He finished second on last season's "Idol" behind Oklahoma native Carrie Underwood.

So Bo did marry his girlfriend after all. When Bo was on American Idol, I think she was still just someone he was dating. Then there was a rumor going around that Bo and Carrie had a thang going on, but who knows if that was true or not.
