I can't wait to hear Dylan spout his bullshit. rolleyes He can be a great songwriter, but when it comes to lying, perhaps only Prince can rival him.

I will watch it to see him blow his b.s. past Scorcese unchallenged. hah!

I missed it. My mum and dad watched it though. My dad and brother are big fans. I like some of the slobs stuff.

Most recent being the awesome "things have changed". Love that song.

Five minutes 'til tee-off.

I don't get excited too often, but I'm quite keyed up about this.

Got home almost an hour into the broadcast.
The 1st thing I saw was this incredible studio footage of Johnny Mathis, Billie Holiday singing Strange Fruit, a young Johnny Cash doing I Walk The Line, Howlin' Wolf and The Staple Singers.

Thought to myself, even if the documentary on a whole turns out to be flawed in some way, the aforementioned footage alone makes it a worthwhile watch.

The footage of Odetta gave me the chills. nod Very cool.

And the footage of the fans being interviewed afterward saying he was crap because of plugging in and having a backing band. lol

Yeah, I know very little about Odetta. I need to go find out now.
I thought the special overall was a little disjointed (though I'm sure that was intententional)

I first heard her a while back when I went to a dance performance, and one of the pieces the company did was all to Odetta's music. I was like, "WHO IS THIS?" eek I had to know. I still don't have anything by her though but whenever I randomly hear her now, I know exactly who it is. And I had never seen live footage of her, so that was so cool for me to see last night. nod

And the other guy who says "Not many pop groups like that!"

Just like Miles' "selling out." Bitches Brew is just so damn pop!

Dylan's wondering "Why are the tickets selling out so fast?" People are staying the whole show and booing, like they need to prove something.

The Audience was right about the footage being worth the price of admission. They played that tape of Dylan's first recording. Amazing.

I just went to the Experience Music Project in Seattle where they had a Dylan exhibit, so I'm all warmed up for this thing.

But she sings like shes a ventriloquist. Not making expressions will keep you young. She did age better than Bob! I think she may be older than him, too.
