Well, I'm probably the only person who simply hasn't listened to 'em, so I really don't know if I would like them.

To be honest, I wasn't a big Radiohead fan either...Then I heard OK Computer and my perception changed dramatically. That album is SO good it's not even funny. It's definitely a desert island disc and it sure as hell looks good in my cd collection.

I only ever liked listening to them when I was so drunk I was on the verge of passing out and they were playing really loud at the time.

i personally love radiohead, but i can see how some people wouldn't...i consider them the pink floyd of the new millenium, and i'm not crazy about pink floyd...so go figure. lol

Just about.

I think they're quite possibly the greatest recording artists of today.

I've never listened to them either, my best friend likes some of their stuff and I have known people in the past who like them. I doubt I will ever get the motivation to listen to their music but on the bright side, one of their CD covers looks really cool I think.

Problem is I don't care for the musical tastes of the people I know that rave about Radiohead. The sensible ones just think they're "OK". biggrin

They are also great to listen to if you are really depressed or walking in the rain or driving.

I think OK Computer is overrated, but I'm a fan. I think their pop stuff has been unfairly dismissed, though it seems they want it that way.

nod OK Comp is the only full album of theirs that I'm nuts about, it's a great one. I'm not necessarily a "fan" but I do dig them smile

Their first album is alright, nothing special... "The Bends" is great... one of my alltime favourites.... "OK Computer" has some extremely beautiful songs but also a few that really grate.... It has been hyped like crazy until the general concensus was that it's one of the, if not THE greatest album ever made...

and they've haven't really made an album of proper songs since then.... it seems like they've chosen to go the "artistic route".....a real shame if you ask me....

Going the artistic route is a SHAME?!? You're kidding. You think it would be better to go the pre-packaged, pop rock, do whatever the label says, write more "standard" sounding songs like every other band out there? BAH!

I've never heard Radiohead except for the Christopher Riley guy who plays piano covers of their songs. But I just ordered OK Computer and Kid A because everyone goes on and on about it. Should get them in the mail in a couple of days. thumbs up!

Didn't really like that Creep song and never got into them. Doubt I would like them...they seem very angsty.
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

thanx 2 those who reassured me 4 not being alone in the universe wink

2 the others, lemme just say that i didn't say that Radiohead sucked or was a poor band. i just don't like their music & don't understand what make THAT MANY people say it's soooo great. there's probably more people in the world 2 censider these guys as geniuses than people considering that Prince or Zappa or Bill Laswell or George Clinton r geniuses... that's just a big mystery 2 me...

Excellent musicianship ("Paranoid Android" is still the jam), but overall, they're just too bleak, vocally incomprehensible, and lyrically vague for my tastes.
