Don Omar and Tego Calderon are not bad either. Funny that Gasolina is more than a year old but getting more airplay now than ever.

I like that toma song by pitbull but I don't know what genre that is...latin crunk? Lol...

My sister says that she recongnized a few of the hit songs in Italy but there was this one "Gasolina" song that kept playing as well. I've never heard it, though.

I hate it

I'm here in the Rio Grande Valley area of Texas and reggaeton is played on the radio as much as R Kelley in Chicago. Gasolina was the most played song last year. I'm not a big fan of the music.

I fucking hate this song, and I fucking hate Reggaeton! And if you live in a place that's populated by many Hispanics, you'd REALLY hate the music. Especially if they have it blasting out their SUV at 2:30 in the morning.



Well, OK, you know what, "hate" is kind of a strong word. But I do strongly dislike Reggaeton. All the beats are the same. Just repetitive, "boom-tap-boom-tap", bullshit. It's just a knockoff of Jamaican Dancehall. And at least Dancehall switched it up from time to time. Also, the thing that makes Reggae Reggae is the emphasis on the downbeat. I don't really hear that in Reggaeton. And since the lyrics are mostly in Spanish how the hell am I supposed to undertsand that?

I like the song too .....but I'm not crazy about Reggaeton in general. After a while it all starts to sound the same. I downloaded Daddy Yankee's album a few days ago, but I haven't had the chance to listen to it yet.

I can't stand the song and I don't like Reggaeton either. NWF said it best, it all sounds the same and it's just plain boring to me. They played it a lot out here in San Diego (they still play it regularly) and now they got a radio station here dedicated to hip-hop and reggaeton. Needless to say, I don't listen to that station much.

(Here in Holland it's on the soundtrack to a movie ,
in the clip you see a guy slapping another , maybe that why i regard it as aggresive but i think i would too , otherwise)
