Any Current 93 freaks on here? I've been eyeballing a new Current 93 anthology lately, but I don't know if I want to plunk down lotsa cash (it's an import...Current 93 stuff is ALWAYS pricey) when my experiences with their albums in the past have been hit or miss.
I love the super creepy goth sounding stuff - the scarier, the better. The sorta fruity world music sounding stuff I can do without, though maybe if I understood it a little better, I'd warm up to it. I've always been curious about what David Tibet/Current 93's whole deal is about...they seem really fascinating to me, and I've been curious about them for quite a long time. Any fans? Any recommendations? Oh my god, this thread is going to get like ZERO replies.

Can I post even if I know almost nothing about Current 93?
I stayed away from that whole Death In June/Current 93/Nurse With Wound corner of the universe during my prime goth years in the mid 90s. The kids that were into it were a little too Aryan--makes a brother nervous, ya know? I did break down and bought a great Death In June comp a few years back, but that's as far as I'll go. This doesn't help you at all of course. Maybe another orger will surprise you.

Well I did find out that David Tibet designed a label for Absinthe Liquor this year.
