Ray Ray

Anyone else here dig Raphael Saddiq? He's a Seriously funky and imaginative artist, and a Prince collab would be a joi to behold

Yeah, I copped that, it's a pretty nice CD. His shit is funky. I like his ode to Slave on this one cut. Saadiq is under appreciated.

I got this last year and yes its a very good CD. Saadiq is grossly underappreciated which is a shame because the masses generally eat up his productions for other people or the work he does in groups like Tony Toni Tone. Ray Ray was one of the best albums released in 2004. I love the diversity of the tracks and his bass playing is on point as always. I Know Shuggie Otis, Chic, Chic Like You, Detroit Girl and Rifle Love are all very good tracks.

I originally slept on it. While I think he's very talented and cool I've always found his voice a little annoying. However, I listened to the full album a few times and while I think there's sorta of a dragging midtempo feel to many of the cuts, if not the whole album, I like it. I just needed to give it some time to unfold sorta like the song Save Us. After a few listens I found the rhythm of it.

I Know Shugie Otis star
This One
Live Without You star
Rifle Love
Chic star
I Want You Back star
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

"I Want You Back" is one of the top R&B tracks of 2005.

His work with The Fire is fantastic

It's a shame Saaqiq doesn't get the shine he deserves
