EnVogue Reunite for VH1 Hip Hop Honors

En Vogue and Salt N Pepa: Whatta Man ... What Women!
NEW YORK, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Whatta Man, the 1993 hit tune recorded by the stimulating combination of girl groups En Vogue and Salt N Pepa, turned out to be a mighty good man! The song has prompted the two groups to not only reunite and perform the popular hit at the 2nd Annual "VH1 Hip Hop Honors," airing Monday, September 26 at 9PM but it also serves as the catalyst to the official reuniting of the original quartet that made up En Vogue: Cindy Herron, Maxine Jones, Dawn Robinson, and Terry Ellis. The reunion comes just in time for the women of En Vogue to pay homage to friends Cheryl James (Salt), Sandy Denton (Pepa), and Deidre "Dee Dee" Roper (DJ Spinderella), the sole female honorees at this year’s VH1 Hip Hop Honors show.

Well, thats impressive especially since Salt is now a christian and Spin was supposedly feuding with S&P over money. And since Dawn left EnVogue, they've switched more members than Destiny's Child.

I hope this means they'll be getting in the studio. DCs done. The verdict is still out on TLC. This would be a perfect time for a resurgence.

Is Linda Lyndell still kickin' around? She could perform the original "What A Man".

If they can get Diva...Err....Dawn Robinson to check her ego then they may be good to go for a FOR REAL reunion. Plus, none of them aint doin' shit right now as it is, so they NEED to be hookin' back up.

SWV got back together (I'm not sure if it was a one off show but it sounded like they were going to get do more stuff together).

As for Salt N Pepa, I think they reuinted for the last show as presenters. I don't think there is really bad blood there. Not sure about Spinderella but time might have healed those wounds, too.

Excatly, but this sounds like a one off thing (I don't see SnP getting together for good either). But you never know.

for real when I think of Salt N Pepa, I don't think of any song that's older than "Expression" or "Independant".

If they are gonna reunite for a one-off, I wish they'd do "Tramp", "I'll Take Your Man" or "Shake Your Thang".

The rest of the world would enjoy "Push It" too.

No. Salt was in a magazine lately ( I think Essence) and she's doing Christian rap now which is why I'm shocked she's even going to make an SNP appearance at all. According to her, they will NOT reunite or at least not permanently.

to me Terry looks like she could be Holly Robinson Pete's sister or that chick from jade...the all look alike.

Maxine does look a little rough. They were on the Jane Pauley show...it was Maxine, Terry and the newer chick. The line up changes all the time i see.
