How Kind Of You - This has got to be one the most introspective creative songs of his solo career.. Totally dig this one

Jenny Wren - Cant get over the vocals and eastern sounding solo...beautiful


At The Mercy- Dark and beautiful. Paul even playin the Cello on this one.

English Tea - This could withstand any of his beatles material to me.. the english stuff..

Riding To Vanity Fair - Beck Sea Change'ish.. so new to a paul record. love it

This Never Happened.. - I dig this cause this isnt sappy love song.. its a song of acceptance in life. I love it. Very honest

Anyway - Totally my style song. southern style.

I think this is a truly good album by Paul, really love english tea (really beatles) but the other songs sound really fine as well

Pretty much what you said, Sdldawn. Favorite of the favorites would be Riding to Vanity Fair at the moment.

My favorites are "Jenny Wren," "English Tea," and "This Never Happened Before" (really love that one).

'English Tea', 'Riding to Vanity Fair' and 'How Kind of You. I like 'Anyway', but the main piano riff is a total rip-off from Curtis Mayfield's classic 'People Get Ready'. It's a beautiful riff but ... it's Curtis'!

Great album overall tho.

This never happened before is truely a great song.. I dont believe he has ever written a dark sounding love song of acceptance as this,,

But all of them are good. These are just the ones I am waiting for everytime I play it.

How kind of you, English Tea, Riding to Vanity fair and I love the hidden jams at the end of Anyway. The 3rd jam with the distorted bass kills me. Pauls on a roll.

On 'English Tea', he sings 'Very twee, Very me' - Is this a bit of gentle self-mockery or Macca's sarcastic revenge on the critics? Whatever, I love that line! Always makes me smile.

All the album tracks are very good, though. His first album in many years where there's absolutely no filler.
