A few you might consider...

Ruth Brown - Oh, What a Dream
Clyde McPhatter - Money Honey (with The Drifters)
Bobby Bland - Little Boy Blue
Hank Ballard - Work With Me Annie
Dinah Washington - Teach Me Tonight
Johnny "Guitar" Watson - Space Guitar
Richard Berry - Louie, Louie
Etta James - Roll With Me Henry

Jesse Belvin:
Wrote Earth Angel and co-wrote Goodnight My Love (featuring an 11 year old Barry White on piano).
Similar to Richard Berry & Louie, Louie, Jesse gave away his songwriting credit on Goodnight My Love for $400. doh!
