I also heard it was good and want to take a listen...

They discussed this on Howard Stern this morning - artists that have been around for a while like The Stones (McCartney, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd - to name a few) are still creating music but people see them as "classics" and associate them with their "greatest hits" and consequently only want to hear those hits in concert - or buy a greatest hits album but not The new material - feeling it might not be relevant in today's music scene whe it fact it's well reviewed and good music.

I'm a bit off topic here - but what do you think?

Prince is one of the few legends whose new music I want to hear more of in concert. I guess I've heard Purple Rain enough. But hearing Mixed Emotions and Love is Strong weren't the highlights of my two Stones concerts.

I agree. I mean, the first song tries to sound a bit like "Brown Sugar", but there are no songs of that caliber. I haven't had a chance to really sit down and listen to the whole thing but basically in two words....it's good.

from my one-listen-through so far.... i have to say, it would really be a killer 10-track album. but then, that goes for pretty much every CD over 45 minutes, in my book.

yeah, it's a bit murky.... but that's probably intentional, to hide their aged faces.

Thank God, Buddha, Allah and all the rest for the Stones. Their new cd is fantastic! Pure rock and roll! I've only listened to it twice, but I already know that I love it!

Long live the Rolling Stones. They make better music than the pop tarts, hip/hop thugs and the country crooners all put together!

It looks cheap. Makes me think of one of those crazy low-budget album covers from the '70's by some guy you've never heard of.

well, it's been so long since they released an album, maybe that was the point. they're starting over biggrin "The Rolling Who?" biggrin

Maybe. lol

The last single I remember getting decent rotation was Anybody Seen My Baby, and I had to have been 12 or 13 when that was out.
