HUNKY DORY: God's Gift To Man

It has occurred to me that David Bowie's "Hunky Dory" album is about as close to perfect as an album can get. How beautiful is "Quicksand"? And then you have the classic "Changes", the fantastic "Oh! You Pretty Things", the majestic "Life on Mars?", the glorious "Eight Line Poem", the sweet-as-sugar "Kooks" and so much more. Sigh. If you don't own this album, WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?

You know it's about time for a new Bowie album to drop when I start waxing nostalgic for old Ziggy albums...next Tuesday, babies!!!

I agree that Hunky Dory is amazing, definately my favorite Bowie album!
it as a feeling of innocence combined with great musicianship and songwriting.

already got it last friday!
Heathen is pretty nice, but I'm still trying to completely enjoy it. It's sort of Hours mark 2. A bit more electric guitars and there's definately some dance influence, but not as obvious as in Earthling.

There's nothing on there which is groundbreaking, but it's a good album.
