Chuck D wanted to sign Vanilla ice? Hmmmmm. I ain't a big fan of the VIP (though "cool as ice" and a couple of others are good fun), but i had no idea chuck wanted to sign him before SBK.
Iam surprised, i had no idea. Chuck said he saw ice as the elvis of rap. Hmmmmm, chuck woulda made some good dough backing the ice man.

Vanilla use to open for public enemy in small clubs before both hit big. I kid u not I can see the comparison. Think about it..... hiphop was black dominated, then came sellout vanilla who sold ten fold what black acts had been doing for years. Sure vanilla was no elvis talent wise, but marketing wise, he and elvis had some things the same. Vanilla sold out straight away. U would too for over a million $
