Nope no kids with Common. Common has a child from a previous relationaship. I think its actually the same girl that is the subject of that song with Lauryn Hill from back in 98' 99'. I also heard that Puma is D.O.C.'s kid. "Like my homie D.O.C. no one can do it better." - Dr. Dre "Thinking like the Keys on Prince's piano, we'll be just fine"

why..its her child. There have been times my daughter had to come to my job. I agree. And it's not like she was dragging her infant daughter to the Grammys, or the Vanity Fair Oscar party; it was a telethon that was was focusing on community solidarity and the power of familial love to help save a city and culture that are a national treasure to our country...I actually think this is precisely the type of event that it's good to expose our children to,up close and personal, no matter how tiny they are ...

She explained Denim too but I don't remember what that was. I think it's French origin. Either way, she knew darn well, especially raising them in America her kids were going to be associated with jeans. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I do understand your point, however, personally I think it's a damn shame that the celebrity worship in this country is so bad that a celebrity can't take their child with them to a public event like this because of the paparazzi and the not-so-in-control fans. This was an event she (Erykah) wanted to be apart of and being with her child is something she wanted too, so she chose to do both. I appauld her for that! I'm sure had someone got out of line, she'd have shown them just how much of a MOTHER, she is!! [Edited 9/20/05 21:34pm]

I think in this situation..looking at the picture...I don't think she was making a grand entrance. She wasn't even dressed for the event. Someone probably just took the pic as she was walking in,

Diesel is a Jeans/clothes company that is also well known in Germany and there is also the diesel fuel. As German authorities are very strict which names are allowed for a child I don't think a name such as Diesel would be allowed for a baby in Germany. However it might be a last German name. But there are also some common names, it's strange though how many double names they list that are common as a name, but hardly as a double name... The German story was for Diesel's name only. The To Sir, With Love connection was for Denim. I just through in that it had a French etymology. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
