we've gotta change that. peaches and princess superstar are kinda too complimentary and too different at the same time to say which is better. i love both of them for different reasons. they're both bawdy, but concetta is more like a hip-hop mae west - witty and charming and good with wordplay....peaches just lets it all hang out and gets right to the point. i can't pick between the two. plus, they're friends, so maybe it's all moot anyway. and yes...MY MACHINE rawks!!!

Princess Superstar. Funnier, cleverer, grittier. Peaches is good though, just not as good as her Highness. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

Whic tracks do you like from my machine? I love "famous", "sex drugs and drugs", coochie coo", and a few more. Great album I just wish it was shorter.

I agree. I also hate skits on cds. I'm thinking about making another copy of that cd for myself minus all the skits. Just the tracks!

Ok, that sucked. We went in early, paid the five bucks, went out for a drink during the crappy opening band (but not before making sure we got stamped.) Came back 20 minutes later (when the club was still presumably half empty) to find out there was a new door guy who was not having us.I'm a nerdy-ish gay guy, my friend is a nerdy-ish Finnish chick. We waited through 15 minutes of him letting in packs of hot busty chicks and left. It's that CMJ thing, where acts are crammed into spaces they wouldn't normally play. The guy at the door literally said, "Well, this is my event now!" I was, like, ok, and that's my train back to Brooklyn! [Edited 9/16/05 21:44pm]

I think I enjoyed Princess Superstar live more... "You know, you're the classic example of the inverse ratio between the size of the mouth and the size of the brain"

[Edited 9/16/05 21:44pm] that SUCKS! i bet if you posted your story on the boards at princess superstar's site, it would be worth your while. the princess posts on her boards frequently, and she really cares about her fans.

tell us about it! It was just after "Bad Babysitter" had charted. I saw her in Sheffield. She just had loads of energy and stage presence and prowled up and down that stage with a devilish twinkle in her eye. Awesome show. Peaches, i've seen twice and it was without a doubt one of the best shows i've ever seen. Can't wait until she puts out a new cd.

Actually my other friend (who was still inside) helped her with her soundcheck, so I'm sure it'll get back to her. Totally not her fault, and I can't imagine what she could have done about it. Always kind of weird when they do live music at club spaces...clashing of 2 worlds and all that (like when Prince played Club Black a few years ago...great show but the club management was shhaaaaady) [Edited 9/18/05 12:33pm]
