Whatever happened to The Blow Monkeys?

I was watching the video for "Digging Your Scene" (their biggest hit) today, and wondered "whatever happened to them"?

That was one of my favorite songs of the post-New Wave/Pop era in the late 80's. smile

I remember that cut in the 80's. I guess those blokes just faded out.

In the US, yes, but not in the UK, where they had a short string of Top 10 hits, culminating in the great "Wait" featuring the wonderful Kym Mazelle. They also scored a Top 20 UK hit with "Celebrate (The Day After You)", a duet with the late great Curtis Mayfield.

Dr Robert went solo in the 90s, putting in the odd appearance on some of Paul Weller's albums.
