Human League's "Crash" Remastered CD available on Oct.4th

The 1986 album produced by the famous R & B producers Jam & Lewis w/ their huge #1 hit Human will be reissued on Oct.4th.It will contain bonus tracks probably extended versions of the singles since no B-sides were ever released. The album prior to this one, Hysteria, was just released last week w/ bonus tracks also.

That wasn't their best album if you ask me. I only liked "Human", Swang", "Money", "Party", "I Need Your Loving", and "Love Is All That Matters". The rest of the album sounded like second-rate ABC or Erausre material.

I'll settle with "Dare" and "Octopus", thank you. wink

Yeah, a lot of League fans hated this album when it came out .They wanted to go in a different direction & opted w/ producers Jam & Lewis who at the time haven't even produced Janet Jackson's "Control" album yet. Lead singer Phil Oakley did admit in a later interview it was a "mistake". It did produce one of their biggest hits "Human" a song that's probably played on contemporay radio stations all over the world at least once a day.

That's interetsing because I remember the reviews at the time thought it didn't sound new wave enough and it was dominated too much by Jam & Lewis' funk style production.

I love every song on 'Crash'.

Yeah, the Jam/Lewis songs were pretty cool to me, but the more "League-sounding" songs were a bit of a let down. But granted, The League weren't necessarily known for being the most soulful group. Phil even sings like a bored robot sometimes. lol So I can see why older fnas hated this new direction.

hmmm Wait a sec, I did kinda like "Are You Ever Coming Back" though.

That Human song was meant for S.O.S. Band for sure. But they gave it to Human League.

It's in the vein of "Tell Me(If You Still Care).

from this disk I like Human, I Need Your Lovin, Love On The Run & The Real Thing..

this remaster is alright, but is the remix of (KEEP FEELING) FASCINATION out there anywhere on cd??

THAT is what I want!

EXCELLENT, PhilG! I see that there are other HL remixes of songs I like!
I'm curious to hear the remix of HARD TIMES, another of my favorites by HL.

I'll keep an eye out for this compilation in the USA, hopefully before the end of the year..

if by chance you hear about this cd out in the USA, please give me/the org a heads-up!
I'll see you tonight..
