From the Bottom of My Heart

Washington, D.C. ……. Michael Jackson is pleased to announce that

Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, R. Kelly, Wyclef Jean, Lenny Kravitz,

Lauren Hill, Mary J. Blidge, Yolanda Adams, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds,

James Brown, Snoop Dogg , the O’Jays, and Ciara, are among the artists

joining in his hurricane relief song, where all proceeds will be donated to

victims of Hurricane Katrina.

As previously announced, the working title of the song is, “From the Bottom of

My Heart,” which will be released on 2 Seas Records, owned by Prince Abdullah

Hamad Alkhalifa of Bahrain.

This project is in response to the widespread devastation wrought by Hurricane

Katrina, and because of the human suffering taking place in the Gulf Region of his country.

Mr. Jackson is continuing to reach out to artists who would like to work with

him in this project, which he humbly hopes will make a tremendous difference

to all individuals who have been affected by this tragedy.

All inquiries regarding Mr. Jackson's Katrina relief effort, and artist participation

should be addressed to Mr. Jackson's publicist and Executive coordinator,

Raymone K. Bain.

With all the hate on MJ's grandstanding approach to putting this project together, the irony is his joint may have a bigger impact than our boy's...

Lauryn Hill? The OJays? Babyface? James Brown?

I have to admit, these are some great artists involved.Let's just hope it's not a sappy, boring "save the world" MJ ballad.Maybe James Brown will add a little funk to the proceedings lol

i hate to be negative...but i hope this song isn't another "heal the world" or "have you seen my childhood" sappy songs that i would probably rather cut my wrist to than to buy...i know its all for an excellent cause to give to, but can we get an upbeat revolution type song with some drums in it???
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

maybe he'll hire and ex-gay porn director to do the video again and we'll never have to be subjected to this trainwreck.

honestly, i'd prefer him to just do it solo. the all-star sing-along charity single is played out. especially MJ's version of it.

With a title like From the Bottom of My Heart I'm betting it's gonna be syrupy ballad.

I don't care if it's bigger than Prince's. At least his is done and out. Hopefully MJ will get this thing out to radio before the end of the month but I'm not holding my breath.

A solo song would have been nice too. I really admired Melissa Etheridge writing a new song and performing it acapella. Just do the damn thing.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Song writing wise...if it is a sappy song..I'll probably like Prince's a bit more. However impact wise..if Michael delivers the artists (including himself) on the song..it will be huge I'd bet - crappy or song or not. However, if it does not see the light of day..it won't matter. Anyone remember "What More Can I Give?" I guess the right question would be, Do a lot of people even know about it?

As has been widely reported Michael Jackson will be recording a new single for katrina relief which include amongst others Ciara.when a reporter for Extra asked her how she felt recording with two people who have a dubious sexual record. She responded she doesnt really care because she will have two big bodyguards with her.

I don't care how he meant it - I support Michael and she should be kicked off this track. You don't knock the person who invited you to be a part of the track in the first place. I see why Michael has been around so long and why this woman probably won't even be around another few years. Michael has talent and class. She is just cold.

If she does do this project it will probably be the biggest thing she has ever done and the biggest she will ever do. She better enjoy the spotlight of extra while she can. I don't think extra will care much about her when her next album flops. Her audience will out grow her.

Went off on a rant there but I don't care.

Does this "2 Seas Records" actually have a distribution deal in the U.S. (or other western countries, for that matter)? Are we actually gonna hear this thing!? Wonder if they're gonna identify which charity is to receive the money?

Also...interesting, I see Raymone Bain is still in the picture hmmm, I thought she was fired a long time ago but I guess not!

Not trying to hate, I do hope this works out well for the sake of the folks who need the help...
