Selena - Talented Artist & Nice Person

Okay so forget J. Lo for a moment...I think the ultimate latina female singer is hands down...Selena! She was VERY talented. The few english songs she recorded are a decade old and don't sound dated at all. Her voice was so beautiful. Beyond that though, she seemed like a nice person. I found a few various interesting stories to show what a nice person she was.

Here they are:

Her favorite restaurant was Olive Garden. She once paid a tab in a restaurant for an old woman who was dining alone. She felt sorry for the woman and gave her cake to take home.

And this story is even more touching (I think) it is from a fan of her's directly:

"I was at the Astrodome Feb 26,1995. She was so beautiful. When the show was over, she walked past me and gave me an autograph. Also a hug too!. I remember her saying "Your so Cute" (i was only 9 at that time).Couple weeks later my mom said she died. So i flipped on the T.V, It was all over the news and everything. I couldn't beilive it. I cried for days. I still play her music alot."

I bet there are other examples out there of her being so kind, but this just makes me so sad to think she is gone and was taken in such a tragic and scary way. I can't imagine being shot..I'd be so scared to say the least.

Anyways I just wanted to remind everyone not only what a talent she was but that she seemed to be a nice person.

Selena was actually fucking kool. I live in a city with a predominent hispanic population(we border Mexico actually), so she was EXTREMELY popular here. If you were Latino/Latina and lived in either Texas, California or even New York City, you were probably a fan of Selena. Tho I dont have any personal stories about her niceness, her songs were great. They just seemed to have personality and flavor. I think what awed me was that she was able to be sexy yet classy.

Based on the english songs she made, had she not been killed, she would have definitely made it as a mainstream pop star. No questions asked.

SELENA IS AND WILL STILL BE THE BEST LATINA (MEXICAN) SINGER. SHE OPENED THE DOORS FOR MANY OTHER LATINO SINGERS OUT THERE. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE SELENA. SELENA VIVE!

I remember in High School people were singing Bidi Bidi Bom Bom. It was just a catchy song and everyone loved and still love til this day.
