Any electro-funk fans here?

Bands and artists like like....

Chromeo
Evelyn Champagne King
Shannon
Afrika Bambattaa
Zapp
Rick James
Gap Band

etc.....

By the way, does the SOS band fit in the electro-funk categorie? How was their album with Take your time do it right?

I luv electrofunk !!! It's sexy, fun and extremly catchy.
My favorites include all of the stuff you had already mentioned but my ultmate #1 had always been CAMEO and heir 80's stuff.

Not sure about the elcro-funk thing. I would say 80's groove but I really don't care about the labels.
My favorite two albums are their debut (I think it was a self-title cuz I can't recall any other title) and The Sand Of Time from 1986 but in reaity you just can't pick bad with The SOS BAND.
If you like them then I advise you to check out these two other cuts:

Princess - Say I'm Your Nr 1 (Maxi Version) - gawd, this song is so much fun
Loose Ends - Stay A Little While Child - Love the Arabic feel
I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the dirt.

thanks for the tip. I actually just ran out and bought their greatest hits. So far so good. It's pretty funky and very 80's!

Hell yeah I remember that jam by Princess. That was the shit. Does she have an album?

I don't know that track by Loose Ends but I do like some of their jams as well.

how about Eddie Grant?

The only song that is Electro by SOS Band is "Just The Way..." DUB MIX it is about 9 minutes long. Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis are really screwing up the vocals and the beats and it really twisted.
