Don't hate but Donny Osmond has some funk in him I know he has his sappy side, a little rock side, a little adult contemporary side
BUT He has a little funk hidden somewhere down in his mormon self. I pulled out the Eyes Don't Lie cd and had forgotten that two of the songs; 'Sure Lookin' and 'Take Another Try (at love)' were co-written with Tony LeMans and has him on vocals. With Soilder of Love, My Love is A Fire, Eyes Don't Lie, he's got a little sumpthin goin on. ---------------------------------
Funny and charming as usual

OMG. I freakin' love donny osmonds "eyes dont lie" album.
Seriously, i've done threads about him on here before. Both that and his "soldier of love" song are excellent. U heard of rythm syndicate? They wrote "soldier of love" "my love is a fire" "eyes dont lie" etc..... They put out 2 good albums in the early 90's. Hunt them down. Also, they did st pauls excellent cheese fest "down to the wire". Both "down to the wire" and "eyes dont lie" are in my top 10 albums of all time. I love the whole "eyes dont lie" album. I love "sure lookin'" and the newjack laced "take another try (at love)". U like the last track "never too late"? Gorgeous production. So cool to know someone else likes a few songs from it. I got someone into "take another try (at love)". he loves that track now. Oh, i also love the OTT ballad "love will survive". Its so heartwarming.

With the right producers, Donny could make a serious comeback, without compromising his integrity. He can sing.

Also he HAS used some Minneapolis session musicians, either on CD or on tour, some of which have worked with or have Prince connections, like St. Paul Peterson!!!

I don't hate him. Had a HUGE crush on Donny as a 9 year old and my first album ever was a Donny and Marie album. Which I bought for myself on Valentine's Day.

I was just thinking about that "Little Bit Country/Little Bit Rock and Roll" song the other day, when Donny used to sing, "I got a little bit of Motown in my soul."
That was the most hilarious thing because Donny Osmond as we knew him in the 70's and Motown were in different galaxies. But I hear he's made some decent music over the last decade or so. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

His 2 80's albums are good pop records. Particually his less sucessful "eyes dont lie".
As for young donny? "one bad apple" is dope. Thats it.

Sorry jt. but in my opinion, The only way Donny Osmond could get some FUNK is if he stopped bathing or showering for a couple months
BUT He has a little funk hidden somewhere down in his mormon self.
