I'm a little bit dissapointed that the rumoured Janet "Glow Of Love" isn't on there (she did sample the song in "All For You"). I would second guess her doing the Sly Tribute as well....wishfull fan thinking. Glad Donna Summer is on there... But Fantasia is in...Ruben Studdard no where to be found? Too obvious?

You read my mind.. I thought JJ was gonna bless us w/ Glow of Love?? I wonder what happened?? I don't think it was anything but some fan's wishful thinking. I'm not familar with "Glow Of Love"....wasn't it recorded before he was a solo artist. It's not really one of his known tracks, is it?

Glow of Love was recorded when Luther had yet to launch his solo career. He was still doing massive backup work..and jingles.. He was actually apart of a group called "Change" He recorded "Glow of Love" & "Searching" with that group.... shortly after that he got his solo recording contract

The man definitely deserves a tribute album, but...
...the late Luthor Vandross? ...still doesn't feel right. (Hasn't sunk in yet.) [Edited 9/14/05 18:18pm]

I don't like tribute albums. The occasional remake here and there is fine, but an ENTIRE album of other people singing someone else's signature songs? Doesn't do it for me.

I'm only mildly interested because of Donna. If not for that, the album wouldn't be a must buy by any means. It would be great if I could just buy the track from Itunes, but I have an idea they won't offer these songs as single downloads.

Yes,Stevie wrote this song.It appears on his 1974 album 'Fullfillingness' First Finale'.I think Luther's cover version is excellent.
