The Absolute Soul List - from the 60's

Aight y'all here's my chance to share with you all a little soul. The 80's where great, but you know it didn't change the face of music, The 70's where lovely, but the end of the decade everybody was ready to hang up their afro wigs and bell bottoms. The music that never seems to die or go away is the music that was created in the sixties. Here's my soul list I wanted to share with y'all.

I was just laughingt to myself thinking how I could mos def seem myself jamming to this list on the way to the next Prince concert. Now we talkin' old School Music forreal, I swear the 60's was the best:

Green Onions- Booker The Mg's
Soul Man- Sam and Dave
Tighten Up- Archie Bell and The Drells
But It's Alright- JJ Jackson
Think About It- Lyn Collins
There was a time- James Brown
Hold On, I'm coming- Sam and Dave
Mustan Sally- Wilson Pickettf
Knock On Wood- Eddie Floyd
I can't turn you loose- Ottis Redding
Funky Broadway, part 1- Dyke and The Blazer
Manish Boy- Muddy Waters
I Can't Stand The Rain- Ann Peebles
Proud Mary- Ike & Tina
Land of 1,000 Dances- Wilson Picket
Shout (A little bit Louder)- Jackie Wilson
Do You Love Me ?- Couters
Twist and Shourt- The Isley Brothers
Cool Jerk- The Capitols
Who's Loving You- Smokey Robinson
HeatWave- Marvellas
Tainted Love- Gloria
Dancing In The Streets- Martha and tHe Vandelles
Shotgun- Jr Walker and The All Stars
Thank You For Letting Me By Myself Again- Sly & The Family Stone

The 60's was just a time when black folks where sexy man. The Music was sexy and the people where sexy, but still innocent.

I think I was really born from the decade, which means I'm really like 64 years old lol. Anyways the question I have is since when did soul music turn into funk, James Brown was funky but they called it soul music back then ?
