Maurice Starr? Did he actually make the music industry worse?

From.....

To.....

Maurice starr is an interesting producer. U can really point the blame at maurice for bringing cheese back to the streets with new edition. It was a brave move, that of course, has had a huge effect on future boybands etc....

His ballads in particular do recall those ole 60's and 70's rnb ballads with the arrangements etc...except he used a cheesy ass casio instead.

I love maurice and his brother Michael Jonzun.

Heres more maurice related stuff i have found recently:

-boyband. 1990. A while albums worth of maurice)

-ana body language. Some debbie gibson tracks too. Yet more hi tech pop from 1990. She has a good voice actually.

Tiffany-new inside. Just 2 tracks this time.

Homework- yet another whole album of maurice.

Seiko-yet again 1990. A fw tracks plus "the right combination" with new kid donnie wahlberg, Good ballad.

Chris pittman. "c.p time". This album is quite good. Still the same ole' high tec pop. But some catchy tunes.

Also, perfect gentlemen, classic example, rick wes.

Rick wes had 2 attempts at albums arranged, produced, written by maurice. Rick is a cool cheesy as hell artist. He is seriously worth looking for as his album is just so silly.

Phew, anyone got anymore? Michael Jonzun did a good track for tommy page too.

Most the albums listed above are not too good, even for a hardocre fan like me, but each has a few nice tracks at least.

Give it up for ur fav maurice tracks? Do u rate him as being one of the most impoortant producers of the last 25 years?

He wasn't around long, but he sure changed a few things.
