Over 70 MILLION In Worldwide Record Sales!!!

Overall, Gloria Estefan's illustrious career has included recording the official theme for the 1996 Summer Olympics, three Grammy Awards, one Latin Grammy Award for directing her first video, "No Me Dejes De Querer," an Oscar nomination for the title song for the movie "Music Of The Heart," which she also appeared in, opposite Meryl Streep. With over 70 million in worldwide record sales, Gloria Estefan is the most successful Latin crossover artist in the history of pop music.

one of my favourite albums of all times. classic and timeless!!!
another of my favourite artists; Gloria Estefan. Finally getting to see her last year was amazing. the woman really can put on quite a show. especially when it's just her with her guitar singing from the heart. singer/songwriter/producer/ceo/restaurant owner/humanitarian/etc. i like her english songs/albums; but nothing compares to when she sings in spanish! drool i've been a fan since day 1 and still respect and admire this woman today. many here may dispute, but regardless. Gloria has accomplished much more than most of the 'superstars' today. i think she deserves more credit than what's given to her. her "Mi Tierra" & "Alma CaribeƱa" albums are amongst my favourites of all time. if you love latin music and don't own these two, i suggest you get them. nod dancing jig
any other fans on the org of this extremely talented superstar?

Gloria is amazing.

I Lover her

Destiny is one of my favorite albums of all times.

I remember when she came out to sing at the AMA's after her accident. It had my mom and I in tears!

oops hit the wrong button.

And Gloria will be taking over Celine Dion's stage in Vegas for a couple weeks. Hope she hoses it down well.

Very underrated singer/songwriter although she isn't quite up there with....you know.

I like her. She also seems very down to earth. Too bad she isn't as popular she used to be.

i have a total love hate/thing for gloria; i loved her music when i was young (and i still do, partcularly her spanish langauge albums)..once i was an adult met her a zillion times and even went her infamous yearly christmas parties in miami; she's a complete hoot, incredibly funny, witty, off-color and once made me choke on a chicken finger because i was laughing so hard at her jokes about jon secada's catering at a party we were at in his house on The Beach...despite of all that, she and her husband have run the miami music scene for years like fascist dictators, with emilio even once threatening to ruin the careers of friends of mine if they didn't let him buy out a hit song they had written for his record label and name himself as excutive producer and songwriter....for like a measley 10 grand split 50/50 between them...and we're talking for an artist that could push at least 1.5 million units worldwide....it was really ugly business dealing with them...it always made it kinda hard for me to sit and watch gloria on shows like "lifetime's intimate portrait" sitting amongst scented candles being the portrait of absolute serenity, while in the meantime my friends were getting threatened in contract meetings at crescent moon...

I recently downloaded "Go Away". I definately liked it much better when it was in that terrible "Made In America" movie. Probably the highlight of it. Not a bad song though.

The big news I would say on Gloria is that she is going to be featured on the "Desperate Housewives" soundtrack. As much as I hate trendy soundtracks to trendy shows (and frankly, DH is a very good show....much better than the seemingly forced media sensation it's become) Gloria will be doing a cover of "Young Hearts Run Free". Even though the soundtrack is littered with many female artists who are fine but just not as popular as they used to be (Macy Gray, LeAnn Rimes, etc.), that makes it worth the purchase even though this thing is begging for the bargin bin!
