let me start out by saying that I usually think her songs
are quite nice tho I never bothered to get any of the cds

the only song I considered worthy of buying was The Roof..

but now I got my mittens on a copy of "Mimi" and I've just
started playing it.

First song is on now. "It's like that".

After fearing I might go into epileptic shock from JD's
ill-inducing "likedatjalllikedatjall" it opened up into
a nice tune, I must say

I like Mariah's voice tho. Sounds very good.

I'm sorry people, but I like this song
It's got a nice rhythm and it flows along
very well. Her vocals are very good and
she doesn't scream like a mad woman for a
change, which actually does her voice lot
more credit than the screeches.

Ok, this is the kind of Mariah I don't like too much,
although the groove is once again subtly produced and
the smoky late-night lounge feeling is all about. An
eery "Emancipation Era" Prince feeling seeps through
in the production of this song.

Too much high vocalising in this for my taste though.
Gives me images of myself being tied to a chair in an
empty classroom with Mariah walking in, doing fingers
on blackboard and high screeching, sending me into an
everlasting delirium.

"Say Something"



This is produced by Pharell, isn't it? I mean,
if it isn't than it sure sounds like it. Nice.

I'm tiring of this album though. I've skipped
through and it's nice.

But now I'm gonna go back to grooving to my
personal album of the week
