On September 27,Chronicles/Universal will release a 3-CD box set containing Donna Summer's first three albums: 'Love To Love You Baby'(1975),'A Love Trilogy' (1976),and 'Four Seasons Of Love'(1976).Each album has been remastered,but so far,there is no word on any bonus tracks.

Actually,we shouldn't be surprised that there are no bonus tracks.Donna's producer Giorgio Moroder has said that,when they recorded her albums,they rarely recorded demos or multiple versions of the songs.The recording process was very quick and there were never any "leftover" tracks,they used everything.

I've seen these collections and they are some what dissapointing....it will all be featured in one box so you don't get the full artwork of each disc. Dissapointing, I say. Then again, at least they are back in print (although I'm not sure that "4 Seasons" ever went out of print....might have very recently.

Atually, if you look close enough, that is the way the box will look but it's around a heavy black box, which makes it appear as if it were a normal disc.

From what I heard, there are alternate verisons of the electronic tracks on "Once Upon A Time"....that is worthy of a rerelease with bonus tracks if not the "Deluxe Edition" treatment. It's very highly rated by fans and most critics.
