PUSSYCAT DOLLS "PCD" Cd tracklist and some reviews

The CD is due 9/13. Currently the DOLLS have acheived a NO.1 HOT 100 song, a NO.2 Top 100 song. They also have the Number one song in Australia and England and the rest of Europe is next. The dolls are currently doing a PRESS and TV tour of Europe doing shows like CD:UK, TOTP, G.A.Y, Mtv TRL in Germany and England, and the Festvial Bar in Italy. The Girls also Filmed a Video for their Next single called "BEEP" featuring Will from BEP. Basically I have heard a about 90 seconds of 6 of the tracks on the CD and it is HOT, a very mixed bag. A friend of mine out on the West Coast got hold of a Copy and gave me a track by track review of Most of the CD so I have included that here for U all. I will have my copies this Friday at the latest and Give U all a 100% full review along with my take on the McCartney cd and JOVI too.

Basically to Sum up the DOLLS CD, its the three S's. SULTRYSSEXYSLEAZY!

The Review (just a note this CD has 3 more tracks also, they are DONTCHA, TOO MANY TIMES, and BITE THE DUST)

Beep- this is the official second single they shot the video last week in LA with Benny Boom. Anyways, the full song to this is good but quite repetitive, Will.I.Am has only one rap in the song its the "its funny how a many only thinks about the....." and it is repeated in the song about 4 times. All in all its fun to dance to.

Wait A Minute- fun flirty song would of been a better choice for the secong single as well. About a player thinkin his girl is a gold digger and is fed up so she wants to leave.to me thats wut it sounds like. again good dance track

Tainted Love/Where did our Love Go- great remake of Tainted Love! the recorded version is so good! It then goes into the Supreme's "where did our love go" at the end which sounds really great by the Dolls

Stick Wit You- R&B/Power Ballad, sweet vocals, strong vocals, sweet lyrics. good romantic song for a couple kind of thing.

I Dont Need A Man- 80s sounding. typical girl song saying she doesn't need a man to feel good or complete about herself and that she's independent. strong vocals and a good beat

Buttons- What can I say? the song is amazing!! the beginning starts out with Arabic/Middle easter style music and continues with that style through out the song. The full song is very catchy, there's even an added part to it where its them just singing the words "Loosen Up My Buttons Babe" in different tones.

Right Now- This song you'll recognize if you have seen the Pussycat Dolls "One Minute Movie" sounds very old. It sounds very burlesque with the 1940s "big-band" vibe to it. great song. and fun to dance to especially if your into swing dance.

Hot Stuff (I Want You Back)- Very very 80s "new wave", and you'll be happy to know that its a sort of remake to Donna Summer's song they use the chorus. now im not sure if the verses are the same. you will definatly LOVE this song.

Feelin Good- great song in my opinion. it has an undergroumd 1940s club vibe. its a soulful song. its slow. but a great song.

the album isnt bad, but its nothing special. its perhaps maybe what another mayte album would have/should have sounded like

beep is a pretty cool track, it'll b interesting 2 c that being played on tv

the remake of hot stuff is ok, but nothing great

tainted love is a bit pedestrian tho. the where did ure love go bit was on the soft cell b side 2 tainted love, or medleyed after TL on the 12"

basically they have covered most styles of music on the cd, even a shirley bassey kinda showtune number - it's like this cd is the soundtrack 2 a nite of dance routines by the girls

Well I think that was the Point of the CD, to basically represent their type of show. Let not forget the first song that they did was SWAY, I think everyone is thinking that Because of DONT CHA that the girls are gonna be some kind of Top 40/Hip hop type of group, and when I spoke to Nicole around the time when they were working on the CD they all agreed that the CD would cross alot of Genres and would basically be Like their shows, honestly because before this "hit" they did have a following that went to clubs and see they perform, so thats the reason for some covers and the 1940's esque tracks.

And also, though I love MAYTE, she could never sing in this group, she could dance in it but never sing, NICOLE blows her out the water as does Melody and Jessica who are the other vocals in that group
