Paul McCartney - link to interview with BBC on the 'art of songwriting' and his new album

Can't see this has been posted yet...

'Front Row' is a daily arts discussion and review programme, which is broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Yesterday (Monday), Front Row was a special edition dedicated to Macca and an interview with him. He's got an acoustic guitar with him and strums along occasionally.

Here's the link. Go here and then, on the right hand side of the page under "Listen Again", click on Monday.

Oh, - at the beginning, there's the end of the previous show (the nauseating 'Archers' - just be patient for a minute or so.)

wink

Paul's solo music mostly blows.

Oh, there's a very pretty dissection of Blackbird, I should add.

Okay, his music isn't flat out awful or anything, but it's been a long time since he's written anything decent.

He's written a few great songs since The Beatles, but I find his work really sketchy.

His song "Freedom" REALLY sucked.

you're welcome. smile

the way he breaks down Lady Madonna at the piano is interesting too.

Oh, and the way he can't work out one of the piano chords for one of his new songs. lol
