Old School Jam of the Day: "Who's That Lady" by Curtis Mayfield

Is anybody else diggin this song as much as I am? This is the kind of song that makes you feel good. The guitar playing in this song reminds me of the late, great Jimi Hendrix. I absolutely heart this song! guitar guitar

What album is that from? I heard of a song by the Isely Brothers of that name, but I didn't know Curtis had one of the same title, is it from one of his albums that is out of print?

Ya'll could be right about it being an Isley Brothers song. I d/led it off the internet, and these internet download sites are notorious for getting the artist's names incorrect. boxed Lemme check it out further.

actually, the Isleys remade their own song, they originally did a slower version of Who's that Lady in 1964. Their second, more popular version, from 1973, features a young Ernie Isley on the blistering guitar solo--when this version came out, a lot of people assumed that it was Jimi Hendrix on the guitar (Jimi played with the Isleys from 1965-1966)....
