How many of you dug Hammer's performance at the VMA's? I did. He still has it!
He should come out with a new album.

By the way, I think Kanye owes a lot too Hammer for being one of the first rappers to do God rap!

I did not catch the VMA's, but back in the day. I saw him in concert,with Stephanie Mills, Guy, Tony! Toni! Tone! and it was on fire. Hammer and his ontourage,357,Too Big Mc, B Angie B, Ho-Frat-Ho and i believe Felton Pilate.

I thought Hammer's performance was pretty good...it's nice to see him making a comeback of sorts.

Hell Yea!! Hammer still got the pipes!!!! I won't liking his "thug" look though, but hey, it was good to see Hammer on stage doing those moves!!!!

His performance and Kanye's with Jamie Foxx were the best performances...

I like Hammer and think he has a lot of charisma. Also, I love seeing him dance ... he has so much rhythm and energy.


But I didn't care for the song selection. You Can't Touch This did not age well. He should have done "Here Come the Hammer" or "Too Legit to Quit."

It's been about 15 years now, and I still can't get over that Taco Bell commercial....

Yay. The hammer. U know, I think the celebs seemed to like ti but seemed pissed off when it stopped suddenly. It was way too short.


It was odd the way hammer was even considered for the award show? I know hammer was all over mtv back in his heyday, but so were many others. It was cool to see the hammer again.


"here comes the hammer" woulda been a better choice indeed. Though personally, "this is the way we roll" woulda been awesome.

A cool thing about that brief performance was having the live DJ juggling two copies of "Superfreak". I appreciated that.
